As part of a younger demographic (22) I feel the biggest problem is a lack of open knowledge and education of how to get involved.

Only yesterday I was reading about the WWF's and Greenpeace's 50th and 40th birthdays and the great achievements these organisations have done. No where could I find out from the article or links how I could join in and get involved.

Today I read an article in a world famous science magazine about introducing chinese tigers (the most endangered type) in to south africa for conservation purposes. The same story again. No info.

I don't want to just donate money to these charities and organisations, I want to actively do something. Properly make a contribution and follow through, hopefully to see positive results in years down the line.

The younger generations definitely absorb a lot more media and all at their fingertips. This makes us lazy which unfortunately means organisations need to take the message to them, they're not going to come looking, they have low initiative, short attention spans and media overload.

Great stuff Gerry, looking forward to seeing your new venture and even more weekly/bi-weekly chats! Let me know if you need an assistant, I'm looking for excuses to get back to Cape Town...but for now staying up in the Andes at 3400m - Cusco, Peru, shooting lots of traditional dances, archaeological sites, small towns etc....hitting the rainforest now & then.
Really liked the interview section on this one!

Hi Gerry,

I'd be very interested to know how you go about your workflow. Maybe you've already touched on it previously?
I'm starting to get to the point where I have enough useful images that I need to apply more dicipline and start backing up!

Cheers,
Lee

Great weekly chat. Enjoyed meeting Paul and Isaac and hearing about what they do. Will be checking out the website for them.
Love the little chameleon logo and noticed it on your pics lately. Can't wait to hear more about Wild Eye.
