August 2010 – Wallpaper #1
Wide open spaces with wildebeest dotted across the landscape. Not quite the Masai Mara but still a truly African scene. I shot this scene a week or so ago in the Pilanesberg Game Reserve, the venue for our Wildlife Photography 101 workshop. Visually a uniquely African scene. August 2010 – Wallpaper #2
Not wildlife but a great example of color and simplicity that will look great on your desktop. This is a photograph I shot during the Worldwide Photowalk on 24 July 2010. The large blue door seemed vaguely interesting when we walked past it but suddenly came to life as the red and blue crate behind the door came into view. The feint lines on the door fills the empty space just enough to keep it interesting without distracting from the color. August 2010 – Wallpaper #3
Another photograph from the Pilanesberg. I sat for more than an hour waiting for these two round little hippo to get up and walk towards me. No such luck. This was one of the first ‘insurance’ shots that I got when I found them. They weren’t doing much – obviously – so I did what I normally do which is shoot a few insurance shots so that at least get a shot and then settle in to wait for the action.
