African Sunset

An African sky with a sunset that lasts for ever.  Dry tree with strategically placed herons.  Lift camera.  Click.  Done.

Yeah, sometimes it really is as easy as that.  See something beautiful, shoot it.  Don’t worry about the aperture, ISO or any of the other technical details.  Overanalyzing situations and trying to be too fancy is the pitfall of many photographers.  So much so that they miss the moments and miss the reason they went out in the first place.  Sometimes you just have to enjoy the moment as well.  Oh, and this image is as shot – no processing at all.  Gotta love African sunsets.

More soon.
