This morning se spent some time watching a herd of Kudu drinking water at a water puddle left by the rain. The one female seemed slightly ‘under the weather’ and was showing extreme submissive behavior towards the entire group. I captured this moment as a youngster walked towards her and she immediately dropped her head and ears. Even just by looking at the image you get the feeling that the Kudu on the right is slightly submissive and unhappy. The subjects that you find out in Africa are amazingly photogenic on their own and it is fantastic to fire at will but it is when you take the time to sit, watch and appreciate that you will start shooting images with a little more depth. Images that tell a story. Moments.
Until next time.
